People will never understand. I have 3 cooks a dishwasher everyday 12 hour days each makes 15-20 an hour so let's just round it to 16. That's 64 an hour x 12 768 for the day just kitchen now bartender 3 waitresses food costs electric heat insurances mortgage and other things Ya restaurants don't make crap 3-9% profit.

As a single adult male on most occasions it is less expensive for me to dine out then it is to cook at home. I am lucky to work in an area that is loaded with restaurants who have a daily blue plate special 15.00 with soup and Bev and tax. (Cena y almuerzo dinner and lunch)

Exactly, and with prices on everything going up, our margins aren’t always covering all those expenses. I don’t even pay myself most months, I just pay the bills.

We already do that...and when someone is subject to our hospitality we don't then DEMAND CASH GIFTS AT TABLE SIDE for that hospitality. Eating out costs so much because restauranteurs are the LOWEST tier of businesses in terms of business skill. I tell you all this because I cooked for restaurants for years and they are scamming society on several levels.
