As nurses in CVICU at Penn we participate in morning and then later in afternoon rounds. The team respects us and values the nurses .. I did a travel assignment at Stanford. So incredible! They also got breaks!

Your attendings go to rounds? That’s incredible. I worked 4 years in an ICU in Chicago, our hospital didn’t have attendings but it was rare to even see the intensivist there. 🤗

I remember working in Trauma ICU and the attending doctor along with resident(s) would round daily in the morning and always ask for the RNs input on their patient. It was tough but learned alot
