@kennyjane_: Who can name this plant species 🤔 #fieldwork #environmentalscientist #wetlands #ecologist #conservation

Abby :

I use an old credit card to scrape them off but I've also heard of fine tooth combs working well!

Devin :

desmodium canadense if you're in the Eastern US

Heather Fraser :

I used to lay in the chicken coup after work and they would eat them all off of me, highly recommend 😂

Matthew Pfahl :

DEAD ASS, they actually get everywhere 😭

caleb:) :

spanish needles for us right now are THE WORST

Cam :

Bidens frondosa in the pnw, if you've got it stuck on fleece or wool just throw it out 😔

pop_cat14 :

nah those ones aren't even bad, they come right off, its the stickseed that'll really get you

43staff43 :

DESMODIUMMMM

Neuro :

Only thing worse is tickweed, we look like we’re in ghillie suits when we come out of the field 🫩

Bonus seed collections, lit

Lisa Marie :

B :

I've been TRYING to figure out what these weird triangular burrs are, so glad I saw this!

Will :

Desmodium, stick seed, bidens. They’re the actual worst. Hate having to spend time after a workday plucking them off.

Angel :

I feel seen

Abby :

Any advice on the best way to remove burrs?? Both pairs of pants I wear to do my field work are now covered in burrs and I've had the hardest time removing them I've already tried a comb and it didn't do much :(

Alex :
