I was told that RA is also hereditary. Both my grandma and mom have it. So if anyone in your family has it, it can definitely be passed down 😩

I was diagnosed April 24, 2025 at the age of 49. Same symptoms 😢 😫. I take 15mg of Methotrexate, 1mg of folic acid and leucovorin currently. I was on folic with Methotrexate at first but the side effects were initially horrible until my doctor added leucovorin.

How far back does RA goes? And is high inflammation the cause? Our fast lives grabbing fast foods, we’re too tired to get home and cook! Then the stress on top of all this! Ugh

I was diagnosed at 49. I am a writer/painter and I thought my right thumb and wrists were hurting because of that. Who wouldn’t? Long story short, I started getting sick in 2022, gradually getting sicker and sicker till Jan 14th, 2024, which was my first urgent care visit. Fast forward to April 21, 2025, and I was diagnosed with RA/Sjogren’s and CLL—chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and SLL—small lymphocytic lymphoma, stage one, after having a lymph node and half of a gland taken out and then, a bone biopsy. Now fixing to start my 5-6? med, Rinvoq, so if anyone has tried this let me know about the side effects. I just keep staring at the bottle, terrified to go through another horrible reaction. My RA is still active, my inflammation, severe. I’ve been on steroids for the last two years, which is only thing that has worked.

Iq ended up with severe bilateral cubital and carpal tunnel. I had surgery on one side before I was diagnosed with RA 😩 I’m seronegative and it took 6 years to get to a rheumatologist

Hi Tammy also check for perimenopause. Never had joint pain. Until I hit 50 and I didn’t know what was going on. Listening to people talk about perimenopause. And that’s what I have. I started taking vitamin D with k2 and some doctor amen menopause vitamin. And omg it has help me so much. I was at the point I didn’t want to work. Or do anything. And my mother has arthritis. Look into it

I feel all this, my hands now, I’m in a flare, I was diagnosed in 2019, I was working at a gas station and a full time job as an optician, I let it get so bad because I thought it was working two jobs but it got so bad I felt like I got hit by a truck, I couldn’t do anything myself, my son in law had to drive me to work, my dr said it was stress but she finally after I went to her every Monday my only day off telling her how I was feeling, she ran all autoimmune tests and I was diagnosed with RA and then I fired that dr

Thank you for that. I think I’m gonna have my primary care test me since my orthopedic won’t since he thinks he can just look at me and tell me what’s wrong with me. I did do the carpal tunnel test and I have severe carpal tunnel. It also shows neuropathy in my elbows, but it doesn’t explain all the rest of the body and joint aches, I have

Sending prayers 🙏 I know how horrible it can be. I’ve had Lyme Disease for many years and I was recently diagnosed with RA too. The pain can be incredibly hard to deal with on a bad day.

I've got it too. Do you get it on one side or both? My rheumy said that a lot of people tend to have it on one side. But now my ankle on the OTHER side has started hurting 🙃
