Austin, I just watched the video of your speech at Sydney’s celebration of life, and I felt compelled to reach out. Witnessing your raw, honest grief broke my heart, but it also showed just how deeply you loved her. You poured your entire soul into honoring her, and even through your tears, your strength as her brother shone brightly. Please don't ever feel the need to hide or apologize for that pain; seeing how much you hurt only proves the beautiful, irreplaceable bond you two shared. You have been such an incredible brother to Sydney, protecting her, fighting for her, and keeping her legacy alive. Sydney’s message of kindness and empathy is something the world will never forget, because you and your family continue to reflect it so beautifully. Please take all the time you need to grieve, lean on those who love you, and remember that you carried her through the hardest moments with absolute grace. I think of you and your family often, and in particular, of Sydney whenever I’m facing incredibly challenging times. Its 5:00 am as i lay in my bed unable to sleep and i come across your video. I had saw your moms yesterday. Its all so heart wrenching. As i lay here from the outside looking in i am crying and crying hard for a girl i never met but that touched my soul deeply. Im so very sorry for this unimaginable loss. At the NIH this week for a clinical trial and scans. She has been on my mind more than once while here. She left her mark on many people. What a beautiful soul to have for even a moment on this earth. ❤️
