I work in the oil sands in Fort McMurray; only Suncor and CNRL pay that much money. All contractors pay less than that, even for journeymen tradespeople, so this information is 50% true and 50% wrong.

Im from Saskatoon-over 15 years ago I served at the Earls in Fort Mac for six weeks to pay my tuition. I opened and closed every single day. At the end of my time a bunch of the guys I made friends with asked me what I saved and they were shocked I’d saved $5000 because they had been there for over a year and not saved anything…..how?!?
