@ashleyklemieux: My grandma once told me she could never talk about this when she went through it, and thanked me for what I share because at 80 something, it helped her find healing ❤️‍🩹 Hospital bills that are 3-4x as much as a full term birth, necessary and life saving medical bills denied by insurance, zero bereavement leave, being expected to “move on”, experiencing a taboo loss, not enough mental health support… I’m holding a 35k hospital bill in my hand (it was once 60k), that insurance denied after our pregnancy loss, and we had to fight them for 6 months. Women deserve better. You’ve rallied to bring our message mainstream so less women suffer along, and today I filmed a nationwide segment that will air during October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Change happens when we talk about things, and I’m so grateful to be having these conversations together.
