To not see color is to not see us and that’s everything I needed to know. They don’t see us as people they never have they never will. I understand wanting to believe that things should be different but they are not. So unfortunately she & her husband did her child a disservice and ultimately put him in danger from jump. We teach our children to be vigilant at all times. We teach them when they go in this world they have to not only be on respectful but also to be aware of who you are and understand that you will not be considered first ever. You can work hard and be the most successful person in the room and still be treated as beneath everyone. Solely because you were born with skin so rich it’s intimidating. They fear us simply because what they’ve done to our ancestors and are continuing to do to us. They are scared because they know once we all see how powerful we truly are they won’t be able to win. But we aren’t vicious people we aren’t evil we have never been violent but we are reactive. I hope she finally sees herself and to do that she must see color may her heart be healed and her spirit be lifted to continue to show up for her other children. And I hope she keeps fighting for her son to her last breath if need be cause when she is ready to go to war we will be here.
