Addressing the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Prime Minister highlighted GMC’s strategic location, access to regional markets, clean renewable energy and focus on emerging sectors including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and data centres. He said nearly USD 5 billion worth of projects are currently under active negotiation, with the airport, railway, energy, digital and urban infrastructure progressively taking shape. The Prime Minister described GMC as a key part of Bhutan’s national transformation and called on the international community to bring capital, technology, talent and ideas to Bhutan.
