@simpsonsminihomestead: Here for all my emetophobia girlies 🫶 I know how deliberately it can be #motherhood #emetophobia #emetophobiaawareness #motherhoodunfiltered #beingamom
I’m 32 mom of a 12 month old and have had emetophobia since I was 5. Didn’t get sick at all in pregnancy, labor, or C-section. But now postpartum the phobia has gotten so much worse lately just dreading and anticipating the day it happens

I'm 35, mom of 4. I've had emetophobia since I was 8 or so. It was sleeping and life was great until my husband and 4 kids were all sick with the norovirus and I had to take care of them. That was in January. It's been debilitating ever since. I'm not myself and actually started to take meds which take a little bit of the edge off but not enough for me to feel normal. I'm looking for help as well :/

I’ve had it since I was 12. My 3yr old has thrown up plenty of times and I’ve gotten used to that…same as you…I hate not knowing if I’ll throw up too. We all had noro last year and it was HELL. I’m starting to get anxiety now that sicknesses are starting to spread again 😭😭😭

I have two kids and I’ve been DREADING the day that our house gets the stomach flu! I’m still working through emetophobia myself so unfortunately I don’t have great advice there but something that does help ease my mind a bit is hypochlorous acid spray! I have the surface spray and hand sanitizer and I spray that on my kids hands every single time we leave anywhere! But girl I’m right there with you and I’m terrified

I have a 15 month old and I have debilitating emetophobia! It got 100 times worse when she caught rotavirus in April. Ever since then, I’ve literally been spiraling and have a ton of safety habits. I spray her hands with hypochlorus acid every time we go out and I notice I’ve been holding back on bringing her to play places. I feel like a horrible mom. This fear is literally no joke. I’m the same way, I can handle her throwing up. But I’m terrified of myself throwing up

Getting induced with my first next week and this has been weighing on me a ton!! I’ve honestly never met someone who had it as severe as I do and I am so nervous about how to navigate this with kids.

I’ve started medication again, which is how I know it’s bad bad. The thought of him starting school sent me into a panic regularly, and now we’re in the thick of first grade.
