Someone once said that people see being fat as a moral failure and that changed my brain chemistry. They subconsciously believe that fat people have failed society by not holding the standard.

I don’t think it’s necessarily suffering as a virtue. The “naturally thin” people LOVE to remind you that they’re naturally thin and don’t have to work at it at all, but still will judge others for “choosing” to be fat. It’s genuinely just enjoying the illusion of inherent superiority, whether it’s “earned” or not. And Samyra is seen as an easy target because there’s no mistake about whether she wants to validate that hierarchy or not

The ones who misinterpret her words or don't care about what she does will most likely never like her or even try to understand the message she's conveying. Fatphobia is so deeply ingrained in most of society that only a small amount of people will see it for what it really is, a problem that isn't talked about by enough people and not taken as seriously as other problems despite it affecting many people's lives negatively.

The crazy part about the plus size clothing thing is that the average size of the American women is size 16-18. Which means if the companies wanted to make more money they would make plus size clothes but in this case yt beauty ideals are winning out over capitalism.
