All of that headache because someone tried to save a little money on bearings..... I see this kind of stuff all of the time with Amazon car parts. Always turns into a headache. I will always turn away "Amazon parts thrown on by a mobile mechanic" cars.

now you got to think too sometimes when they're under load they're made that way I used to sell trailers and they would be towed out like positive camber and when they were under load they were right but they had to be loaded up for what the axle was saying that it was so it's different sometimes but some of those new things were like that it was right but it would be sticking out like unloaded it would wear out the edge of the tire but under load it was dead nuts now if you put it in there at just being square you go down the road and it would eat the tire off under load it wouldn't last no time but it had to be what it was rated for so there's one thing that I did learn doing heavy trailers but you know if it was square it's supposed to be square maybe they made a mistake

If they’ve been doing it for 30 years, wouldn’t they have alignment bushings in the centre carriers, and use an alignment bar like you have to make sure they have more than one reference point for straight and square? That’s how I’d have done it. The alignment bar through both hub carriers before it’s welded on, in conjunction with the backing plate jig.

I'm glad to hear they eventually tried to make it right, but that's some shady stuff otherwise.
I'm guessing the jig was bent and the welder didn't care enough to even eyeball it.

Stick with the axle surgeon. Make sure he is certified with the corporate office. Main number is 877- 349-2953. A lot of these companies are calling themselves axle surgeons.

💯 not right! So unfortunate you have to go through the unnecessary work to prove your claim.

If you had to clean it off to get a proper read then that means they didn’t when they used their tool. So it would have to be out.

Also, nothing is square for a manufactured vehicle. Alignment will correct it. 😂😂😂
