@igeestatus: The guy seems cool 😭 she doesn’t like extroverts LOL. What do we think, Gee Hive?! How would y’all handle this?! Reddit user: efficient_log_1873 #fyp #makeupstorytime #grwm #grwmstorytime #igeestatus
I see both sides OP doesn’t have to invite anyone they don’t want to it’s their party and they should be comfortable and happy at it. But being the only friend who’s significant other isn’t allowed to go would be frustrating and yes they would be put in a position to choose

So you don’t like him because he is friendly and engaged in conversations? I wouldn’t go. Not sorry. I’m choosing this person as my life partner. To grow old with. Have children with. Struggle and laugh with. I’ll pass on leaving him out.

she doesn’t have to invite him but she doesn’t get to be mad if her friend doesn’t go

I know some may not agree but I see both sides. It’s ops birthday and they can invite who they want. But I would understand not being able to have my s/o with me if everyone else had theirs there 😭😭

If I was the friend, I wouldn’t be mad that he’s not invited, it’s your birthday invite whoever you want 🤷♀️but if that’s the case, I agree with a friend, I’m not going either. Especially because it’s not like her fiance is a stranger, OP obviously knows him already, so it comes off a bit rude

Ultimately it’s her birthday however the friend has every right to not come.. like you’re mad her bf is a people person and engages in conversations with people?

OP is being unreasonable. Although I get it’s her birthday and she can invite who she wants. Eventually this will be her husband. OP can’t expect her to choose the friendship over her marriage. I wouldn’t go at all and cut ties.

Yta you can invite whoever you want but to exclude her significant other but no one else’s is an ah move. If no one’s significant others were invited that’s completely different then excluding just the one.

Yes a little. Yes u can invite who you want but if they actually get married then how can you have a relationship with her after this! It’s just a couple hours

Guess it depends on if avoiding the fiancé is worth losing the friendship 🤷♀️

Had me until “I just want everyone to listen to me talk” but doesn’t like that he’s friendly and talks to others….. I get it’s her birthday but Jesus.

You can absolutely not invite the partner you don’t like BUT be prepared to lose this friendship, actions have consequences.

People are saying that not liking him because he was talking and engaging in conversation is wild, and I thought so too at first, but I have a cousin thats like this and has to be the center of attention everywhere he goes and I think thats what she was trying to explain, that he overwhelms the conversation to a point its not enjoyable anymore, I am introverted and being around my cousin is exhausting, but overall hes a good guy

Well she can invite whoever she wants but she should fully expect for this friendship to end because you invited all your other friends partners and simply didn’t invite hers just because he’s more extroverted which is weird

i think both sides are unreasonable tbh. the friend need to understand there is a line and if she explains why she won't allow him to come theb she should accept that, but at the same time... if your ONLY gonna NOT allow HER finace to come and everyone else's partners sre invited.. yeah i would be mad too.. bc what's basically saying you won't want me there.

I get it’s her party and she can invite whoever she wants, but if she wants that friend to stay in her life she’s gonna have to learn how to suck it up and get along with the fiancé

I'm actually wondering what OPs plan is once they get married. Is she just not going to invite her friends husband to things? And, if that's what she's going to do, is she going to expect her friend to choose her o er her husband?
Op is allowed to invite/not invite who she wants to her parties. Thats her right. But people also have the right not to come, regardless of the reason. She can't get mad at them for not wanting to show up while simultaneously excluding their partner. This honestly should've been an expected outcome 😭😭

Girl… either come without him. Or don’t come. Them are the options. I don’t like him. I don’t want him there.

even if she does go to the dinner, everyone is gonna ask where her partner is & that’s just a messy argument waiting to happen if she wants to be petty
