I needed to see this right now. I just broke up with my ex who used to take me on trips, and the last few trips were hell. I really prefer my peace and quiet to living in hell. This gives me hope that I can continue traveling without having to put up with anything. I'm 27, and I hope to do something for myself soon.

I used to live in Switzerland with my ex husband. We had both very comfortable income so we got to travel and experience beautiful hotels. 10 years later, I’m divorced, shared custody, back to France so my income isn’t great but I found a way to travel solo and have amazing memories by booking hostels (good hostels). I meet great people and have so much fun! Life is good! 🥰

aww so happy for you! it reminds me of the time I used to think that only the guy I was with would allow me to be a stay at home mom because most men where I lived are all about 50/50 and the economy is not favorable for only the man to provide for his family... and then when it ended, 3 weeks later I met a guy who asked me how I envisioned my life at the time and I straight up said I'd love to be a stay at home mom the traditional way, and to my surprise, he said that that's why he was working two jobs so that if his future wife wanted to be a stay at home mom, he could provide for the family, and if she wanted to work, it was her decision and all up to her but he was setting up the foundation for whatever she wanted.. it's funny how sometimes we are reminded that our beliefs shouldn't be limiting us to beautiful possibilities and what we wish for! 🥰✨
