I'm in the middle because no party can accurately capture my views and ideals. I agree with different parts on both sides and I heavily disagree with parts as well. I'm not going to stick to a label I don't agree with entirely and have views I don't agree with forced onto me by the outside.

I’m a radical libertarian, not a fan of socialism by any means. Given that you joked about being a socialist, I doubt there’s much politically that we’d agree on. However I find I agree with you more than not. I always try to keep in mind that at the end of the day, we’re both people who’re just trying to share what we think is right and change society for the better. It’s baffling to me that I can feel that way as an ancap about unapologetic tankies (not implying you are one), yet normie progressives and conservatives can’t feel that way towards each other.

disagree. while your statement to not make generalizations is true. your examples are wrong. leftists are not liberals being centrist is inherently white wing, not because its a secret motive, but because of the political landscape. being right wing/republican DOES make you racist and bigoted. if you specifically meant it doesnt make you outwardly bigoted, thatd be right. most right wingers arent aware of the bigotry they partake in. Remember, just because you SAY "oh i love gay people" doesnt mean anything if you then go vote against gay marraige. you dont get to decide you're an ally. you need to provw it. by being republican, you prove you are not an ally. and by not being an ally, you are a bigot. being an ally doesnt mean attending pride events. it means not being bigoted. treating us like people.

I work with a lot of MAGA folks. My parents are also MAGA. A lot of them do, actually, hold repulsive views about the "other." I don't think they're all evil; however, they are ignorant, at best. I sure in the fuck am not going to sit here and pretend some of their views aren't disgusting. The amount of Islamophobic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, anti-Black rhetoric I've heard from their mouths is enough to tell me I don't want to be around those people when a paycheck isn't forcing me to be in their presence.
