@lovingcreaturez: A mailman went viral after repeatedly feeding a homeless Yorkie on his route, only to eventually realize the little dog had been waiting for him. Pedro was delivering mail one afternoon when he noticed a skinny Yorkie sitting alone outside a house. The dog looked hungry, so Pedro shared a few crackers from his lunch and promised he’d bring something better the next day. To his surprise, the Yorkie was still there when he returned. Pedro brought him food, but when the dog remained in the same spot for a third day, he finally knocked on the nearby house and asked if he belonged to them. He didn’t. Pedro took the Yorkie to a local shelter hoping they could find a tag or microchip, but there was nothing identifying his owner. So Pedro took him home while continuing to search for whoever had lost him. Nobody came forward. Before long, Pedro decided to adopt the little Yorkie himself. One day, someone on Pedro’s route stopped him and asked if he knew he was becoming famous. A street security camera had captured him repeatedly stopping to feed the stray, and the footage had begun spreading online. Pedro never understood why everyone thought what he’d done was so extraordinary. When someone stopped him for a photo and called him a hero, he simply smiled. “I was just trying to help him,” Pedro said. “Now he’s my little guard dog.” Nobody knows how long the Yorkie had been homeless before Pedro found him. But as people online were quick to point out, he finally had a home, and apparently, his own mail route too. #wholesome #dog
