The humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip continues to escalate, with at least 86 people confirmed dead due to starvation and malnutrition, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. Among the victims are 76 children and 10 adults, underscoring the devastating toll of hunger. In the past 24 hours alone, 18 new deaths have been recorded, highlighting the urgency of the crisis and the complete collapse of food and medical supply chains in the besieged Gaza. Hospitals across Gaza are overwhelmed and under-equipped. Doctors report children arriving with emaciated bodies, severe dehydration, and complications from prolonged malnutrition — many too weak to cry. There are no specialized nutritional treatments left, and food aid, when it arrives, is too little and too late. "These are not just numbers — these are children, mothers, fathers who died in silence, slowly fading away because the world allowed them to starve," said a medical official in northern Gaza, who asked to remain anonymous for security reasons. The ongoing blockade, compounded by continuous Israeli military aggression and the destruction of infrastructure, has left over 2 million people in Gaza with limited access to food, clean water, or medical care. International agencies have repeatedly warned that famine-like conditions are imminent if immediate aid is not allowed in at scale. The Ministry of Health is calling on the international community, humanitarian organizations, and United Nations agencies to intervene immediately and provide unrestricted humanitarian access to prevent further loss of life.#worldwide #foryou #palestinebroadcastnews
