Dude, leaks are notoriously hard to get rid of that like grit I love them. They taste great, but they get stuck all those little creases and crevices and then you chew on gravel man. It sucks.

I took inspiration from this dish and made it my own. I layered very thin sliced potatoes with salt and pepper on them and then a layer of leeks and then a layer of smoked sausage drizzled bechamel sauce all over that and did the same layers again. I roasted it in the oven for about an hour sprinkled on some Parmesan cheese and a little bit of mozzarella on top to broil it for a few minutes. it was amazing! thank you for the inspiration
