I lost my 22 year old best friend to sleep apnea. This shit is serious. His 02 would drop to 70s in his sleep and he still was stubborn and didn’t wear his mask. It was 3 days before Christmas. He was going to make cookies.

We had a patient come in after losing 90 lbs and they had hoped their sleep apnea would get better and we explained that it was his anatomy, not his weight. Patients of all sizes come in. Including very small women.

i'm starting to wonder, i've never been able to breathe through my nose when i lay down. like it's not stuffy, it simply closes and i've woken up a couple times bc i couldn't breathe.

i dont use my cpap i tried for like over a year i just cant do it its claustrophobic and i feel like i cant breathe no matter the air pressure or mask and nope i cant

i had sleep apnea when i was like 8 probably even younger and i stopped breathing bad in my sleep... tonsils and adenoids out and i sleep better

I really wish I could get my fiance on health insurance so he can go get a sleep study done (and ultimately get a cpap) because stuff in the comments im reading scare the fuck out of me for him. I wish healthcare wasn't such a luxury in the US.
