I agree. Sometimes we are so busy expressing our right to boundaries that we forget that the sacrifice is sometimes apart of being a good person, friend or family member.

I cannot tell you how many weekends we’ve given up to go to friends’ birthday parties, their kids’ sports games, helping people move, etc. But you know what? When we had a baby and were in the trenches, those same people brought us meals, babysat for free, and constantly checked in on us. Having a village is worth the effort it takes to build it.
