I grew up without a father and the only men I looked up to were the Ranger tab leaders I had the in Army. They set the standard high for me. Now that I’m out, no men has uphold the standards like they did.

Girl I relate to this so much. We had a big party in my family earlier this summer where all the tias, tios, and primos traveled to SD - we were all hanging out in my parents backyard and I had the realization that literally ALL of the men just ain’t shit lol. The women are the breadwinners or at least the more educated and dynamic ones (being able to carry the household labor on top of having jobs and hobbies). I felt like the men were really only redeemable bc of their proximity to good women.
