I’m a speech therapist. At my first job - my classroom got wasps. I was working with a non-verbal preschooler as I tried to kill a wasp. As it flew away he said “Oh shit. Oh fuck. Oh fucking shit”. I figured - well. He’s not wrong here exactly……. lol. His teacher saw me later that day & goes - I’ve got a bone to pick with you! I replied - we are working on the “f” & “sh” sounds. I think he’s doing rather well! 😂

My toddler could talk fairly well at the time, but her first curse word in PUBLIC was "Oh Shit!" ( oh shet in her accent ). We were at the fair and it was her first time riding a camel or elephant or something and he turned around SOO QUICK and asked, "did she really just say?" I was mortified but also dying of laughter and trying not to fall off the animal we were on

My sister had some developmental delays when she was a toddler. Her first word? She was honestly trying to say Witch. because it was around Halloween and we were watching something with one... and instead of with a W, she said it with a B very loud and clear [Tears of joy] all around religious folks 😊
