Staying home and taking care of 3 children full time is a job and her staying home to provide for those children saves thousands in daycare. People refuse to understand this. If a mother goes out and gets a job say a minimum wage job working part time 4 days out of the week her paycheck wouldnt even cover the cost of daycare for 3 children so she’s working to pay someone else to raise her kids she’s getting no time with them and now she’s exhausted and not able to care for the home kids or husband the way she needs to.

I am a mom who pays child support, as I should because my teenage son wanted to live with his dad. This man's step children should have no bearing on what he should be paying for his own 3 children for child support and based on the cost of living increases and her having all 3 kids he should be paying whatever the standard child support in their state is whether or not she works.

I'm a stay at home mom. But my husband and I have worked very hard to pay off bills were I'm able to do that. when my ex husband and I went to court I only asked that he pay state guidelined child support granted we hadn't had a review since our divorce in 2012 and we went to court in 2025. He did claim he supported his stepson ( in which he wasn't remarried at the time of court) the judge granted credits for ( stepson) but only in medical support. I dont think step children shouldn't be credited at all. I also don't think the child support should be raised just bc a parent chooses to be a stay at home parent. it should be state guidelined.

The step children have nothing to do with the support order of his biological children. If he married someone with children their mother needs to be the primary income supporting them.
