Next to her sat a huge biker — leather vest, tattoos from his neck down to his hands. The girl’s grandma gently tried to pull her away, uneasy about the tough-looking stranger. The biker reached into his vest and pulled out a pack of washable markers. “I keep these for my nieces,” he said, rolling up his sleeve to show a black-and-white skull tattoo. “Think it needs some color. You wanna help?” Her eyes lit up. For the next hour, she carefully colored his arm. The skull turned bright pink. Flames got flowers. Swirls, stars, and hearts covered the rest. He stayed perfectly still, asking her opinion on every color like it was serious business. When her mom finally came out, the biker’s arm looked like a rainbow explosion.
