@patienceleemah11: Fajr prayer (Salatul Fajr / Subh)— is the first of the 5 daily prayers in Islam. 1️⃣Time: From first light (when the sky starts to become white in the east) until just before sunrise. For you in Lagos today, Fajr is around 5:45 AM - 6:10 AM.It enters early and you must pray it before the sun comes out. It is the shortest time among all prayers, so try to pray it early. 2️⃣ How many Rak'ahs: - 2 Rak'ah Sunnah(Sunnatul Fajr) — very important Sunnah, Prophet SAW said it is better than the whole world. - 2 Rak'ah Fard(compulsory) — this is the main Fajr. You pray Sunnah first, then Fard. 3️⃣Why it is very important: Allah swears by Fajr time in Quran: _"Wal-Fajr"_ — By the dawn. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "Whoever prays Fajr is under the protection of Allah." and the angels of night and day witness Fajr prayer. It protects your whole day. 4️⃣ How to pray: - Make intention (Niyyah) in your heart - Say Allahu Akbar - Pray 2 rak'ahs like normal — with Al-Fatiha and short surah - In Fard Fajr, it is good to recite a little loud.
