Apple Pie Croissant Bread Pudding 🥐🍎 Got some leftover Costco croissants? Turn them into the ultimate cozy fall dessert! CROISSANTS • 8–10 Costco croissants, cut into pieces APPLE PIE FILLING • 5 apples, any kind, peeled & diced • 4 tbsp butter • ¼ cup all-purpose flour • ¾ cup brown sugar • ¼ tsp nutmeg • ¼ tsp allspice • 1 tsp cinnamon CUSTARD • 1 cup milk • 1 cup heavy cream • 2 tbsp salted butter • ¼ cup white sugar • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 tsp cinnamon • 4 eggs OPTIONAL TOPPING • Turbinado sugar, for sprinkling on top DIRECTIONS 1. Melt the butter in a pan, then add the flour, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, brown sugar and water. Stir to combine, then add the diced apples and cook until the apples are tender and the mixture thickens. 2. For the custard, add the butter, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon to a saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until the butter is melted and everything is warmed through. 3. Remove the custard from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Once slightly cooled, whisk in the 4 eggs. 4. Cut the croissants into pieces and place half in the bottom of a baking dish. 5. Top with half of the apple pie mixture. 6. Add the remaining croissant pieces, followed by the rest of the apple pie mixture. 7. Pour the custard evenly over the entire dish. 8. Sprinkle a layer of turbinado sugar over the top for an optional crunchy, caramelized topping. 9. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden. 10.
