The thing is, it's worse when she stops expecting it anymore. That means you failed as a partner, you failed to give her the affection she deserved/needed. Now, she's just there, stuck in a relationship that doesn't make her happy anymore. Also, it's not about the flowers.

I have to go on an alt account to say this but like I had to practically beg my boyfriend to hang out over the summer. I invited him to at least eight things and offered to pay each time. We hung out twice during the last week of summer. Plus, we go to different schools so we barely interact anymore. He feels more like a friend than a partner atp

Only received it twice. One on my birthday when he asked me to be his girlfriend and during our first valentine’s day together. Then we had a baby and got married, three years and two kids after and no more flowers. I have to ask for things that I want, he’s no longer proactive. 🙃🙃

Just a reminder that the love you’re asking for really does exist. I left my ex of two years because I was constantly feeling like I was asking for too much, when I was really asking for the bare minimum. He wasn’t a bad person, just not the right person for me. A year later, I’m so happy to say I no longer feel the need to repost things like this. I found someone who gives me the affection, attention, and reassurance I always wanted. Don’t settle because you’re scared you’ll never find love again. Waiting for the right love is so much better than feeling lonely in the wrong one. You are worth the wait.

It’s like for Christmas if I get ask for what I want and get the exact thing I say it’s not really a surprise and it wouldn’t make me as happy then if someone took interest in what I do and give me something I need or could want or something they know I would like because they know me ! I don’t like to get ask for stuff , the same go for affection it feel forced if it’s ask and doesn’t have the same emotional value
