@itscindybrown: I LOVED my veil. 🤍 It’s probably the one piece from my wedding day I’ll actually keep, and I’d genuinely love to pass it down to my children one day. But if you’re asking “should I wear a veil?” there are a few things I wish I’d thought about first… Your hair matters more than you think. I had big, voluminous curls and my veil had some weight to it. Once it went on, those curls were fighting for their life 😭. If your hairstyle is a big part of your bridal look, think about the weight and placement of your veil, not just whether it looks pretty. Then there’s your dress. My dress was quite simple, so the veil added something without competing with it. But if your dress already has a lot going on, ask yourself whether you want the veil to add to the look… or whether it might actually take away from the dress you spent all that money on. And finally: is it worth the money to YOU? Mine was gifted, but some veils can cost hundreds. Knowing what I know now, if I had to pay £400+ for one, I’d genuinely have to choose between the veil and investing in a beautiful hairpiece instead. Would I wear mine again? Absolutely. It was a MOMENT. 😂 But before buying yours, decide what you want to be the star of your bridal look: the hair, the dress… or the veil.
