The Iranian government placed a missile launcher at a school; although all schools across Iran were closed that day, the students of this particular school were forced to attend. They began firing at US bases from the school's back courtyard, leading the US to believe the site was a military base. The Iranian government's objective was to trick the US into committing a war crime against children and thereby halt the attacks.
