this is so stupid respectfully. if his family hates you I promise you it's not the end of the world if they are already terrible people. it would be different if his family hates you and the boyfriend won't do anything about it...then yea be prepared to leave. if his family hates you and he is trying to still make it work even while his family ultimately hates him too then so freaking what? relationships are hard. if you guys genuinely have so so much love for eschother meanwhile the family is continuing to be bad ppl then ignore it. I'm so excited for my boyfriend and I to be married and uninvite them to the wedding. I am so excited to get my boyfriend out of this hell hole and give him the love he deserves. comparison is a theif of joy. if you know the dynamic of your relationship don't let social media try to make you think something different. unless like it's really bad.

My boyfriend is deliberately mostly picking his parents over me. They never met me. Hes a 27 adult living away from them. They are mad at me because he lied to me about drinking and i said i dont want to argue on his birthday and politely talked a day after. He promised to change. 4 months after, he’s been arguing with them again. Not standing up for me. I offered help and then he made himself a victim for lying to me. I suggested a break and he agreed. Absolutely heartbroken.
