I’m nearly four months post chemo and knowing that I won’t have any more scans is making me so anxious! I understand doctors reasoning behind it but I didn’t have any major symptoms before I was diagnosed (only a small lump) so in my head I’m questioning if the cancer returns will I know if it’s there at all until it’s spread to other parts you know? Wishing you so much luck for your PET scan 🩷🩷🩷🩷

I have the opposite. I’m getting no scans, and I’ll only get scanned if something hurts or if something feel wrong. I’m 50/50 on whether I think I have cancer still

In my country there isn’t a place where you can get a PET SCAN, I was send to Costa Rica to get one 2 months ago and I was so scared but the results where so good that I can wait to finish quemo and get another so I can be sure that the cancer is gone

My daughter gets a CT and MRI every 4 months. We used to get a little bit of anxiety previously. We now trust the process that if something is wrong- we will be contacted right away! 💕

Since being on this clinical trial, I get a PET scan once a month now . I am always so happy to hear you are in remission no malignancy 😊

Is this normal in other countries? I finished chemo in winter and I only had a mammogram and they say they dont do MRI’s in Sweden.

I really only get anxiety in the time I’m waiting for the result at the doctor’s office. Because otherwise I agree. Either the cancer is there or it’s not. Nothing I do will change that. My doctor will either have me stick with what we’re doing or he’ll adjust accordingly.

After my daughter's last scan, she completely shut down until the results came in. When the results showed no evidence of disease, my daughter broke down crying from relief. I had never seen her cry so hard in her entire life and she is 39 years old. The stress from waiting tortured her.
