I’ve learned not to argue with ppl who haven’t read the books. They rarely ever have good takes on the characters, nor can they ever admit how racist both the fandom, the author, and some of the characters are towards Jacob (the other native characters 2, but Jacob gets the worst of it since he’s Edward’s main competitor/the “obstacle” that’s “in the way” of Bellward). I don’t even interact with the fandom anymore aside from occasionally liking edits/watching Corinne’s videos (she’s a team Jacob girlie who understands the racial undertones of the story) n’ that’s it. Unfortunately the fandom likes to d-ride Edward & the Cullens and ca get reallll racist about it 🫡✌🏾

there’s a whole explanation about Sam being with Leah before he imprinted on Emily. It’s literally forced on them.. pretty sure it’s in either new moon or eclipse but i could be wrong. and i’ve only read the first book. 😐

it's like people skip the explanation that imprinting isn't immediately romantic. the wolf becomes whatever his imprint needs him to be. A protector, a friend, a brother, a partner etc. it's not whatever creepy thing people think it is.

I loved being in the Twilight Shitposting FB group, but EVERYONE was on the Jacob hate train. you couldn't say anything in defense of him, and god forbid you point out the many things Edward did wrong. Legit had someone try to tell me that Edward wasn't racist💀

This just highlights what a horrible author Stephenie is. It's like she was trying to give Jacob a consolation prize when she wrote him imprinting on Renesmee. She probably thought she was giving Jacob an epic romance with the next best thing since he didn't get Bella, but what she got was a young man who was obsessed with a baby, a creep. It's like how she wrote that Edward didn't perceive Bella as being anything special when he first saw her and didn't think much of her looks, and how he thought Siobhan was stunning. I think she was trying to write Edward as a dude who wasn't shallow like other guys, a man who didn't obsess over obviously beautiful women, but what she ended up getting was an arrogant asshole.
