I was given a separation agreement, and I already felt like I had a case. But what’s crazy is, once I retained an attorney and he sent them an 11 page letter laying everything out, now the employer’s attorney is suddenly saying she’ll be out of the office for the rest of the week. 😂 Meanwhile, I only have until Friday to sign the agreement, and they’re saying that deadline still stands, even though she won’t be back until after it expires. But she also says she’ll take our demands to her client and respond to my attorney when she returns. Like how does that make sense? 😂 You’re keeping me under a deadline while your attorney is unavailable to actually negotiate before that same deadline expires.
