You can see the yearning if you pay attention to the detail, including the fact he quoted the first time they met, which was showing that it mattered so much to him that it was worth remembering

You know what, he’s actually liked her from the very beginning. If he hadn't, he wouldn't remember her and that whole situation after two years, and consequently, he probably wouldn't have agreed to this arrangement either.

they change the “if you say something about the girl I love, if you even think of her I will kill you, or better, ill do it anyway” to a simple “dont ever think or talk to her or i kill you” like, two more words wouldnt take that much to take 💔 (im spanish so this is a literal traduction, idk what he says in te og voice)

also if she was supposed to be smart, career driven woman WHY would they not keep the fact that she applied and was approved by a committee on her own merit and change it to TOM inviting her?? Ofc everyone thinks she’s only there cuz of Adam, that irked me sooo bad, especially after with all the bad-ass girl talk like show it don’t tell us 😭

Anyone else mad that they made Tom give Olive her spot at the conference talk? They diminished my girls accomplishment, book Olive got that spot fair and square because her research is good. Movie Olive got it because Tom is in the committee 🙄

I liked the film but even as someone who hasnt read the book it felt like key parts were missing. It didnt seem as if they spent that much time together to suddenly be in love. Seeing comment on how crucial parts of the book were missed actually makes a lot of sense.
