@astralfrontiers: Don’t miss this week’s Harvest Moon 🌕 On September 26, look east after sunset to see one of the most famous full Moons of the year. The Harvest Moon is the full Moon that occurs closest to the Northern Hemisphere’s autumn equinox. At this time of year, the Moon’s path crosses the horizon at a shallow angle, causing it to rise at nearly the same time for several evenings in a row. Before electric lighting, these bright evenings gave farmers more time to gather their crops after sunset, earning it the name “Harvest Moon.” As it rises, Earth’s atmosphere may also give the Moon a beautiful golden-orange glow.
