Most people massage their face wrong 👆🏼 Have you ever tried to massage your face to depuff it and release your face muscles? And maybe you wondered why it didn't work. The truth is face massage is a great tool to depuff and even make small lines look less visible, but you have to do it right. These are the most common mistakes I see: - masseter release: the masseter is one of the strongest muscles in the body and in most people it's tense from stress and chronic clenching. And when it's tight your face might look wider. To find it, clench your teeth, feel the muscle popping out, then unclench them and massage it out - drain your neck by massaging it top down towards the hollows above your collarbones - release your corrugator (the small muscle between your eyebrows) by pinching it and moving the tissue side to side. If you're gliding your fingertips on it, you're not even touching the muscle! - drain your eyes by drawing small circles around them, from the inside of your eyes out to the temples, in a clockwise motion - drain your cheeks by pulling the fluid out towards the temples and then down towards your collarbones, where the fluid gets into your bloodstream to be released. If you're stopping at your tamales you are literally missing the most crucial part - release the muscle running along the sides of your nose that lifts your upper lip by pressing into it and then drawing small circles to mobilize it. Don't glide your fingertips up and down - If your chin is tense and dimpled, press into it, find the mentalis muscle, then move your fingertips in a circular motion to mobilize it. Don't draw circles on your skin - find the muscle at the sides of your neck by tilting your head to the side, it will pop out. Then, pinch it to release it. Doing the massage right will make a HUGE difference to your face! I do it daily when I apply my moisturizer and my face is suddenly less bloated and more glowing #facemassage #facemassages #lymphaticdrainagemassage #lymphaticmassage #facecare
