Donald Trump has claimed the CIA has told him that Iran’s new Ayatollah, Mojtaba Khamenei, is gay and suggested it meant the new supreme leader was off to a “bad start”. The US President was asked about the intel on Fox News on Thursday and replied: “Well, they did say that. But I don’t think it is only them. I think a lot of people are saying that… which puts him off to a bad start in that particular country”. Trump went on to say Iran, “kills gays, they kill them instantly, they throw them off buildings”. In Iran, sexual activity between members of the same sex is illegal and can be punishable by death.
