The average Canadian pays $21,000 per year for their public health care system funded through their taxes. I recently heard it described by a Canadian as death by a thousand cuts because there are so many hidden traxes both nationally and then through their provinces. So in reality, you have paid far more for that prescription than you thought.

My EMPLOYER gives an incentive for diabetics to keep their A1C lower than 7.0 and they’ll pay for your copay for all diabetic supplies. If I wasn’t part of this program it would literally cost me $100 dollars a month after my insurance covers their portion. I’m so grateful but I’m also so anxious of losing my JOB 😭😭
