@namibian_sun: JUST IN: The Rundu Magistrate’s Court has convicted Matheus Reinhold Ipakwa (34) of the 2014 murder of Chinese businessman Gao Li, who was killed in his house in the Rainbow residential area of Rundu in a case that shocked the community. Ipakwa was found guilty of murder and housebreaking with intent to rob. He was initially charged alongside two other accused, who Magistrate Mufana Barry acquitted due to a lack of evidence directly implicating them. The matter was postponed to tomorrow for sentencing after mitigation was heard this afternoon. Prior to hearing his verdict, Ipakwa had to be restrained by police after threatening violence against an NMH journalist filming his arrival, saying he did not want to be filmed.
