they told my daughter the same thing...her ongoing gi issues were not from the appendix... however, once she had it removed, she no longer had anymore episodes... I'm hoping its the same for you

If he has vomiting as a part of his flare ups please ask them to check for a syndrome called CVS cyclic vomiting syndrome I have it and it is the most painful thing I have ever been through and I have the flare ups aswell CVS is most common in 3-7 year olds but it can happen at any age!!!!

Idk much of anything but I’d get him checked for chrons or ulcerative colitis! I have UC and my symptoms were very similar. Praying for yall🤍

when I had my appendix removed I thought I just had an ovarian cyst when in reality I had appendicitis AND ovarian cysts. So sometimes when you’re already somewhat used to experiencing a certain type of pain a “lesser” pain doesn’t feel like anything!

My son is now 8 but when he was about a year and a half he had a bowel intussusception and his appendix was also irritated once they got in there so they went ahead and took it out but his was the same way, no signs of appendicitis on bloodwork or anything. He has no lasting GI effects, but also he didn’t show signs of GI issues until the week leading up to the intussusception and we assumed it was just a stomach bug until he literally couldn’t even keep water down. Hopefully Landry gets some relief and they figure out what’s going on with your sweet boy.

Have you taken him to a naturopathic doctor? I had horrible gut issues for over 10 years and the doctors just said I had IBS and sent me away. I went through tests and they showed nothing wrong. I got so sick in other ways on top of my gut so I went to a naturopathic doctor and they ran way more blood work than the regular doctors ever did. Turns out I had a gnarly overgrowth of bacteria in my gut that had gotten so bad my other organs were shutting down. A few months of supplements and I finally felt better!!
