Did u try my practise poking? I wonder if you experiment the sensation without the cream and a tooth pick, then with the cream to let him feel the difference. He’s a bright boy with understandable feelings on this, feeling nervous/afraid is completely normal and you’re a wonderful mum listening to him. He’ll get this done eventually! Also tell Mark, I’m a grown adult that normally has to lay down to get it done, and can’t look! My own blood makes me feel a bit light headed. 🥰

Could you guys try taking it when he is asleep? Or use a bear or dolls or book to get him more comfortable with it? Or some type of reward system?

Bless his heart needles are horrible things but I know it is needed to make sure he's OK! You can do this Marc hope he gets it next time, sending lots of love to you both xx

I think that you’d benefit from having someone else maybe teachers ta do this with him as he manipulates you a lot and plays in your weakness

Have you tried @Randox Health or think there’s another one called thriva uk . They are at home test kits that have no needles
