To the guys who are afraid of getting sued or accused of SA, Good Samaritan laws prevent you from getting sued for saving a life, especially using CPR. And even you do get accused of SA, it's a very low risk of it holding up in court.

Ems here: I’ve seen too many times people not wanting to give cpr to women because they’ve seen others get sued for doing cpr, person comes back to live and sues them. It’s the same with people in other times or situations where men are helping women in some way and they either get sued or get berated online and on social media, that is the reason people don’t want to do cpr on women, there is so much fear of retaliation

In high school, I was studying for medical class and we were learning CPR. Our teacher once told us that, there’s has been cases where someone try to give CPR, save that person, but still getting sued for touching them.

Unless they come out with a federal law, saying that if somebody's in an emergency c p r can be done without being sued Then, women are just gonna have to wait for the ambulance. i think it's something along the lines of good samaritan laws

i did CPR on a woman who was ha ing an asthma attack because I was confused and didnt k ow what else to do and I got called a groomer and rapist for the rest of my time at that school

A lot of these comments are saying they don’t wanna be sued but didn’t she say specifically that the issue is that women are less likely to receive cpr than men? Like that’s the main issue, someone is more likely to save a man rather than a woman

Couple of seconds of help can cost you your livilhood. Just a simple association with potentially doing something improper can ruin your life. Personal and professional. Call for medical professionals to come help, stand by but you aren't obligated to risk more.
