@erinrackham: This is a recording I just found of a random conversation I had with my dad when he got sick 7 years ago. He passed in 2021, but I was surprised how relevant it still felt to me now that I’m living with Long COVID. We used to talk about chronic pain, trauma, and current medical research casually over breakfast just because we both enjoyed learning about these topics (and because our family had a lot of unexplained chronic pain issues). I really miss having his eyes on my case & his help sifting through the research & treatment options. ❤️‍🩹 #longCOVID #chronicpain

What a precious gift to have this recording. My mom died when I was 15 I don’t have any recordings of her voice or her talking to me. I miss her so much, and I’m sure you miss your dad so much too. He seems like an amazing person.

What a sweet gift to hear uncle Carey’s voice again. 🥰 The way that the human body amazes all of us!!

I'm glad you have this to listen back to 💜 it's interesting listening to this while I'm actively stressed because I can't get a response from my neurologist office to get my gabapentin rx renewed (my appointment got rescheduled by them so now I'm going to be out weeks before I can see my doctor). I'm scared. Not only of having the full force Trigeminal Neuralgia pain back but also of the side effects of not being able to do a proper taper off of the medication. Beyond flu type symptoms seizures or even status epilepticus is a risk. I always have the worst time going off medications. If a side effect is possible then I will have it worse and for longer than is normal and that's with an extra long slow taper

My family has been almost violently unsupportive with my Fibro and ME. I think I'm fully estranged at this point. I can't tell you how much it helps me to see your examples of support, genuinely helps me raise the bar on how I should be treated. This is a precious memory, the love, understanding and curiosity are almost tangible. Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm so sorry for your loss and that your dad isn't here for you to talk to anymore. My dad and I sound very similar to this and talk about topics like this on a near-daily basis just in normal convos to one another. We both have hEDS and it's comorbid conditions, alongside autism and ADHD, etc. Him and I are clones, mentally and physically.

He’s right! Look into Journavx, it’s been really helpful for peripheral pain management & will hopefully be released for long term use soon
