Silent hill is not only your literal fears but it’s also you escaping some awful truth your mind pushed away whereas zombies and mutant monsters in raccoon city. Either you die by your own literal manifestation or you get infected or eaten and I still don’t know which town is worse 😂

Looked it up: silent hill is closest to the Dante’s inferno depiction of the 7th and 2nd circles of Hell, which also stems from the good book; and don’t forget the purgatory aspect. Raccoon city is basically being stuck at the DMV, but you can leave for a while and possibly fix the place up; and you can carry a gun; but you’ll only have enough ammo to always be aware that you don’t have enough ammo
