Indiana has an Education Scholarship Account, or ESA, that helps eligible students with disabilities and their siblings pay for approved educational expenses. 💰 HOW MUCH? Eligible students with disabilities may receive up to $20,000 annually. Eligible siblings may receive up to $8,000 annually. 🏠 CAN HOMESCHOOLERS QUALIFY? YES. Indiana specifically says homeschoolers can apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. IMPORTANT: If accepted and the family chooses to participate, the student is no longer considered an independent homeschooler under the program. ✅ BASIC REQUIREMENTS: The student must: • Be an Indiana resident • Be age 5 through 22 by October 1 of the school year • Have a disability requiring special education services OR be the sibling of an approved ESA student • Meet the program’s other eligibility requirements 📚 WHAT CAN THE MONEY HELP PAY FOR? Approved expenses can include things like: • Curriculum and supplies • Tutoring • Individual classes • Testing • Therapies • Camps and training programs • Transportation • Other approved educational expenses 📅 IMPORTANT: The 2026–27 application window ran March 1 through September 1, 2026, so it is CLOSED for this school year.
