my dad talked allllll the time about the last time I ever held his hand in public. I was ten years old and embarrassed holding his hand in Hollister. he said “you let go and never grabbed my hand again”. This January, I held his hand again, except it was already cold. I so wish I would’ve grabbed it more often.

Same SAME!! There are things that remind me of soemthing we use to do but don’t anymore. It hits hard. I use to rock my kids after a bath a sing a song. I don’t remember but one day I just stopped doing it because they got to be big. I didn’t do it one night than the next but last week a memory was triggered. The song I used to sing to them came on the radio, and they looked at me and they go you don’t pick me up and rock me anymore and I’ve said well you’re nine and 10 and I tried and it’s hard but yes that’s one of the many things that I did for the last time and I didn’t realize that I wished there was a little bell that said remember this this is your last time you’re gonna do this things constantly move and change in motherhood

Me currently looking at my 3.5yo twins while holding my 4mo and one of the twins pronounced “yellow” as it is, not “lellow” or “mello” and I cried a little, now I’m GD sobbing after this video. I’ve been lacking in the bedtime department for the twins since having the new baby but that changes tonight 😭😭😭 the days are long but the years are too short
