in all honesty driving to BKK in an EV is a big no no. bukit kayu hitam jam still not so bad. if ur unlucky getting stuck in a jam at sadao immigration ur toast. Even when i drove up to hatyai i had to pump twice. once at pedas linggi and changlun before crossing into thailand. both locations with half tanks left. but i have to salute for the bravery and confidence. 👍

Ev not for long distance! Very good if u drive in sg only. I had my bad experience with an ev driving to muar and melaka! When u pass by so many petrol stations u will regret why u buy an ev

get a diesel..full tank rm150 plus..you'll get 1200-1300km on long distance roadtrips..save u lotsa trouble and widely available

Someday ev will have the range of some hybrids now >1300km and the speed of charging will match pumping. But not yet. Still early days for ev, already good, but at some point it will make buying an ice car a nostalgic luxury, like film photography. At the moment hybrids are kings. Some are as ridiculous as 220hp with 19kmpl a road tax of 700 per year and >1000km real world range. Ev not easy to beat that even with cat a road tax and 20000km per year driving. Plug in hybrids suffer the same road tax as ev so pass. Sealion 8 is a very nice car though, and proton emas 7 is also good and spacious for the price.
