I have a soup pot with the black cast iron, haven’t had any issues but then again I’ve only used it a handful of times. I have a Staub black cast iron, I cook things in often, nothing sticks in it ever! Honestly I’d chalk it up to the potato soup, it’s starchy and that stuff sticks! Glad you got it out!

just wet it with water, and then sprinkle baking soda soo its like a paste and scrub with a soft sponge! check ke creusets or staub socials to see how to clean those burn marks
