Im an electrical apprentice, I started from the bottom but I agree. go to school, but dont forget to tell these young women that they will experience sexual harassment, they will be degraded, they will be looked down on by the men out there. HR doesnt care either.

The only reason we don’t go into trades all the time is because of the harassment and hazing we receive. We need all the men to be safe coworkers before we will be safe in trades

And you can get scholarships that will completely pay for your school because it’s women in men’s fields. Most schools will even help you get employment after completion

My younger sister is an electrician and she is at her breaking point. In a union, in a liberal state and still the males get handsy, she is forced to travel further for the women’s restroom while the men’s is on site, etc. it’s not the work (she loves it) it’s the males surrounding her
