Omg, every funeral in my Dad's family (Bloomfied, Belleville, Nutley) was a multi-day event. Sometimes there was an afternoon and an evening viewing session on both days plus one more the day of the funeral itself. 😂 Thank God that's not a thing anymore.

i had an italian uncle by marriage and he and my Aunt stopped by our house on the way home from a funeral because he said it was bad luck to go right home after a funeral so you don’t bring death into your own house ….. and my parents said great so you are dropping off death at our house
